Post 1 - Burnham Lecturer Geo Analysis:

The candidate will be responsible for teaching Terrain Analysis, up to MSc level, to enable Defence personnel to analyse geospatial phenomena for the production of military intelligence. Responsibilities will include the development of Defence doctrine, academic research, course/module design and the supervision of research projects. Candidates should have a background in the exploitation of geospatial information or intelligence analysis and have relevant experience in providing advice on Terrain Analysis matters to aid the decision making process.

Post 2 - Burnham Lecturer GIS:

The candidate will be responsible for teaching a broad range of GIS topic, up to MSc level, to enable military and civilian Defence analysts to manipulate, extract and analyse geospatial data. Responsibilities will also include research, course/module design and the supervision of research projects. A background in GIS is essential and practical experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of remote sensing, information systems or photogrammetry would be useful.
