The ITC Department of Geo-Information Processing addresses and studies the technological and methodological aspects of geo-information processing and infrastructure to develop technology oriented concepts for the new geo-information society and solve complex application problems.
       

The challenge
The aim is to develop and provide allotted academic course components, based on the faculty’s curriculum, so that students may meet the course objectives associated with the attainment targets of the course component in terms of knowledge, understanding, skills, competence and attitude.

You teach Professional Masters and MSc students in a wide range of Geoinformatics topics, covering at least some of the following: GIS, web-GIS, spatio-temporal analysis and modelling , databases, geovisualization, computer programming (with Python). You contribute to the development of educational modules and new educational products (such as distance learning packages). You participate in consulting and advisory tasks for projects in the Netherlands and abroad.
       

Our offer
We offer an inspiring and challenging international environment. The successful candidate will be employed for a period of three years. A full-time appointment is preferred, but a part-time appointment is possible. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) of the Dutch Universities. Gross monthly salary depends on experience and qualifications and ranges from € 2,403.- to € 4,418.- excluding allowances in accordance with the job profile ‘Docent’ level 3 under the University System for Job Classification (UJC).
       

Your profile

You have obtained at least an MSc degree in geoinformatics, or in a related or comparable discipline, and have experience with the geospatial data handling process (spatial data applications with GIS, databases, remote sensing, or visualization). You have working experience in multidisciplinary teams and are willing to undertake international travels to support ITC's mission.
