Spatiotemporal dynamics in the ecosystem services of urban green spaces
  • The aim of this PhD is to assess the spatiotemporal dynamics of ecosystem services in different types of urban green spaces through spatially explicit modelling approaches to enable simulation of ecosystem service provision under different scenarios. The approach will be developed and tested within Greater Manchester.
  • The PhD study will result in an integrated assessment of a number of ecosystem services, and the foci may include climate regulation, recreational, habitat provision, and others depending upon the applicant’s interests and experience.
  • Applicants for this project should have relevant BSc/MSc qualifications, for example, in geographical information science, environmental science, spatial ecology or geography.
