As GIS Project Scientist you’ll provide expertise in supporting PHE’s GIS capability to inform the reduction of health inequality and the improvement of public health. You will have experience of enterprise and desktop GIS solutions and should be comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders to integrate GIS into PHE functions such as public health emergency response, outbreak investigation and surveillance. The role will also require good spatial data management skills and an enthusiasm for delivering internal GIS training. The ability to organise and prioritise your workload together with a flexible and proactive approach to your work is essential. You will need good communication skills, attention to detail and a desire to identify innovative spatial solutions for public health problems.
