We have a position for an energetic TB epidemiologist or mathematical modeller with an interest in directly supporting country-level TB policy making. The work involves providing epidemiological and mathematical modelling support to National TB programmes preparing their applications to the Global Fund under the ‘New Funding Model’. Frequent international travel including Sub Saharan Africa and coordination with collaborators, including those working on HIV and Malaria in London, Geneva and the USA are required.

The successful applicant would have an MSc in epidemiology or other quantitative health discipline. Experience in tuberculosis epidemiology and control options is key, an understanding of mathematical modelling of infectious diseases is desirable. Good communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.

The post is initially for 11 months full-time. You would be based in London within the TB Modelling Group at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (http://tbmodelling.lshtm.ac.uk/), supervised by Rein Houben and Richard White.

Please contact Rein Houben (Rein.Houben@lshtm.ac.uk) should you have any further queries. If interested, please send your CV with details of 2 referees to Rein.Houben@lshtm.ac.uk.
