We are seeking a highly motivated Post-doc in vector entomology

A 3-year post-doc position is immediately available at the Institute of Parasitology, University of Zürich, Switzerland, which acts as the Swiss National Centre for Vector Entomology. The Centre is well equipped and has a broad research spectrum, including vector capacity, bionomics, spatio-temporal distribution and molecular identification (http://www.paras.uzh.ch/research/entomology/research.html).

The research tasks of the successful applicant will depend on his/her experience and interests, focusing either on vectorial capacity or bionomics of indigenous and invasive
arthropod vectors.

Applicants should hold a PhD, a veterinary dissertation or have a comparable scientific record with a background in entomology/ecology and a strong interest in field and laboratory work. A good command of English is essential, and good knowledge of one of the major languages in Switzerland (German, French) is an asset.
