Postdoctoral position (Leishmaniasis), Department of Epidemiology at University of Iowa,USA

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Epidemiology at University of Iowa. We seek a highly motivated, team-oriented, individual to investigate vaccine candidates for prevention of visceral leishmaniasis using a dog model. A successful candidate will have knowledge of modern RNAseq approaches as well as basic immunology skills in FACS analysis, ELISA, ELIspot, and Luminex assays. Applicants must have a PhD in immunology/cell biology, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong commitment to translational academic research. Experience in pathogenic protozoa is preferred but not required.
